The Chesnok Red cultivar is a member of the Purple Stripe family. It’s hardy in poor soils and harsh conditions, and produces large bulbs when exposed to cold climates. Harvests late in the season. Bulbs average 8-10 cloves.
Its flavour is rich, complex, and mild. It lends itself especially well to roasting and baking.
This variety garlic will last for at least 5-7 months. Store in a dark, dry place, with good air circulation.
